The urgent and necessary reform of the electoral code La urgente y necesaria reforma del código electoral

Abstract

The Colombian electoral process is a state process, in which all the authorities and organisms of the State intervene, as well as political parties and movements and civil society in general, which has as a normative tool the Electoral Code of 1986, which requires a major reform to adapt it to current needs, strengthen electoral processes, citizen participation mechanisms and strengthen the guarantees of citizens. The reform is aimed at regulating aspects related to the principles of the electoral function, the right to vote and voting, where new computer tools provide guarantees for a safe and transparent process.
