Abstract

This article presents the results obtained from the research carried out at INEM José Félix de Restrepo Educational Institution, whose purpose was to investigate the communicative processes that the student leaders of the school government of this institution develop. Through the Case Study methodology, an approach was made to the interactions that arise in the exercise of political participation between representatives and the educational community in general. Based on the observations and the data obtained in the fieldwork, a description of the problems that emerge in the political practices of this school government is presented, and the need to make this political organism, designed for the citizenship and democratization of students, communication tools and strategies that strengthen their exercise of student representation.
